We are happy to be able to introduce a new/old service for the Clarence Valley:-
Clarence Valley Aboriginal Healing and Support Service (CVAHSS)
Is the title for the new program funded by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) under the Safety and Wellbeing stream of the Indigenous Advantage Strategy. This new service arose from the former Indigenous Community Links program but PMC have asked us to incorporate elements of Healing (as per activities that were carried out in the Healing Centre).
The Clarence Valley Aboriginal Healing and Support Service will provide a range of activities designed to enhance the lives of Aboriginal people in the Clarence Valley. These will be aimed at individuals and/or families in need of support in accessing services, group activities with a cultural healing focus and staging of events to promote a better life for Aboriginal people
Gurehlgam is pleased to announce that Janelle Brown will be the supervisor of the new program. She will have the help of a support worker who is yet to be recruited. Contact us if you are interested (firstname.lastname@example.org). . The new number is 66428103. Gurehlgam will have an opening day to officially unveil the new service in August/September 2016.
