Many Rivers is a legal support service for First Nations individuals and families who have been involved in, or at risk of, Domestic or Family Violence.
At Many Rivers FVPLS, our focus is on clients who have been through, or are still going through, Domestic or Family Violence.
Our support workers are here to support First Nations clients. Many Rivers Family Violence Prevention & Legal Service (FVPLS) has teams in Grafton and Kempsey.
We accept walk-ins or scheduled appointments via referrals from other services.
We understand clients can be in many different stages of their healing journey, and we are here to support clients where they are at, in any way we can.
Our teams provide comprehensive support to individuals and families through the following key services:
Free Legal Advice; Guidance on legal rights and options.
Court Support; Assistance in navigating the court process, including emotional and practical support.
Parental Rights Advocacy; Helping parents understand and protect their rights.
Victim Support; Compassionate aid for victims of crime or abuse, ensuring safety and access to resources.
Education & Community Building; Workshops, programs, and initiatives to empower and connect communities.
Case Management; Personalised support to coordinate services and achieve positive outcomes.
