Our Grafton building has a quiet garden next to a spacious courtyard for all your community or business events.

Our Facilities

We offer several free facilities for all community on Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung Country in Northern New South Wales:

  • a small yarning circle in our "Story Garden" in Grafton, with:

  • a mini book library on the verge

  • a quiet "Healing Garden" and a sport court for basketball or volleyball out the back

  • the Wadjar Indigenous Art Gallery at Yarrawarra in Corindi Beach, with its small Jalumbo Cultural Heritage Museum.

  • Aborginal-themed accessibility toilets in Grafton and Yarrawarra that meet the lastest standars (open during office hours only)
     

We can always rely on the teams from the local correctional centre to help us with the upkeep and maintenance of our Grafton spaces, thanks to a partnership arrangement with SERCO.

  • a "Healing room" for private client or small group sessions or traning courses in Grafton

    our Wadjar Art Gallery with its own café for outdoor dining

  • our artistic Seafoam cottage at Yarrawarra for holiday stays or artist/writer retreats

We are in good company...

In our historic St Mary's school building in Victoria Street, Grafton, Gurehlgam hosts a wide range of related social services.
Mostly through annual leases, but we also have spaces available also for special events/ one-off meetings or weekly sessions.

We have made our building accessible to all by installing a chairlift, by providing access ramps and by adding a modern accesibility toilets that meet the latest building code standards. 

The services we share our building with include, but are not limited to:

Child & Family Wellbeing Hub

Tresillian's Child and Family Wellbeing Hub on our top floor provides support to Clarence Valley families expecting a child, or caring for a child aged 0-5 years. Call 1800 316 410 for more info.

Bulgarr Ngaru gym
 

The Bulgarr Ngaru Medical Aboriginal Corporation has set up a spacious gym in our building for weekly fitness sessions for all ages/abilities.

Feel free to pick up a free book or swap books at Gurehlgam's street library at 18-26 Victoria Street in Grafton. You can donate books here too, as long as they fit in our tiny library!
