Homelessness Support & Prevention Service
Get help with access to safe accommodation and some practical support from our Specialist Aboriginal Support team.
We help First Nations clients with accessing safe accommodation, essential services, and long-term solutions that promote stability and independence. Our caseworkers act as a main point of support for clients, guiding them through the challenges of homelessness and, where possible, working with other agencies to ensure they receive the help they need.
Our service includes:
- Case management support tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Support to sustain tenancies, including practical assistance, advocacy, and early intervention.
- Advocacy to ensure clients have a strong voice when engaging with housing providers, services, and systems.
- Referrals to culturally appropriate and mainstream services, including health, financial, legal, and wellbeing supports
- Intensive support to address complex needs, such as mental health, substance use, family violence, and crisis situations.
- Early intervention and prevention, aiming to reduce the risk of homelessness before it occurs and strengthen long-term housing stability.
This approach allows us to empower clients, strengthen independence, and contribute to safer, healthier, and more stable outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
